Apuntes "Must" y "Have to"

“Have To” and “Must”

AFIRMATIVA

Cuando utilizamos el verbo have to estamos obligados a hacer algo,  es necesario que lo hagamos.

have to do something = Tengo que hacer algo (estas obligado a hacerlo).

Example: You have to be in the theatre al eight o´clock.

-          You can´t turn right here: You have to turn left.

-          It is late, I have to go.

“Must” is similar to “have to”:

-          It is late, I must go. Es tarde, debo irme (aunque no estás 100% obligado)

Example: I must be in the cinema at eight o´clock.

NEGATIVA

En negativa la cosa cambia ya que “Mustn´t” and “Don´t have to” son completamente diferentes:

Mustn´t indica prohibición, es similar a CAN´T

You mustn´t go to the beach because it´s raining.

You must keep the secret. You mustn´t tell anyone. Tú debes guarder el secreto, no debes (No puedes) decírselo a nadie.

Don´t have to tiene el significado de “no es necesario si no quieres” aunque puedes hacerlo

Example: You don´t have to tell him, but you can if you want.

Vocabulario Bloque 4

Going To con sentido Futuro

Apuntes Going to con sentido futuro

Tomorrow I am going to go to the cinema.

AF: Sujeto + verbo to be + GOING TO + Verbo + complementos

I             am                  going to       visit       my dad tomorrow

Yo voy a visitar a mi padre mañana

NEG: Sujeto + verbo to be in neg. form + GOING TO + Verbo + complementos

I                     am not                       going to         visit     my dad tomorrow

Yo NO voy a visitar a mi padre mañana

INT: Verbo to be + Sujeto + GOING TO + Verbo + complementos?

Are              you         going to         visit     your dad tomorrow?

¿Vas a visitar a tu padre mañana?
